Finally.... We have arrived at the post were we will discuss how to change the name of the server in Folder Redirection Policy and that's too the correct way... :)
The Lab
OU (MyManagers) (Manager1, Manager2, Manager3)
Linking a group Policy Object with the OU "MyManagers"
Redirecting the data on the Network Share "OldServer"
The data is now redirected....
Lets create a "Test Folder" in the "Docs" folder and lets see if that folder is copied on to the network location...
Yes, It does
NOW HERE COMES THE TURNING POINT
Instead of changing the server name directly, we will choose the option "Redirect the folder back to the user profile location when policy is removed"
And here on the main page, choose the option "Redirect to the Local User Profile"
Add here we go..... On the client machine, the data is now pointing to the local user profile and not on to the network location 'OldServer"
Even in the registry...
Now redirect the data on to the new location "NewServer"
Here we go.... On the client machine, the data now points to the new network location "NewServer"
And Even in registry...
The data is now stored on to the new network location "NewServer"

So ideally, the best way to change the name of the server in folder redirection is 2 way step:
1. Redirect the data back to the user`s local profile
2. Redirect the data to the new network location
